Competition Age: A competitor's age for the race season will be determined by that competitor's age on December 31 of that year (E.G turned 12 by Dec 30th, racer can be top of the lower class or bottom of the upper class). Competitors whose age on December 31, does not meet the class minimum MUST request, in writing, a waiver from United Karting Instructor staff, which is based upon driver history and potential on-track observation of skill and performance. However, at any time United Karting staff can withdraw the waiver if safety becomes an issue.

Competition Kart Checklist

Competition Karts are racing machines and they need constant maintenance and oversight, we really recommend competition karts for those drivers that are willing to learn basic mechanics or already have these skills. In order to help our racers keep up on preventative maintenance, UK regular Ed Wheaton produced the attached “Checklist”. As a safety first track, we would love to see our Competition Kart Drivers leverage the 'Competition Kart Checklist' as it includes all of the items we check at the track when you arrive to ensure you are safe to race.

If you do not have basic mechanic skills you can also rent competition karts from United Karting. United Karting maintains these karts and makes the process simple and straightforward.
